THC and Mission First Housing Group were hired to be the developer by Israel Manor Church for the development of 47 newly constructed one-bedroom units of affordable senior housing contained within a five-story mid-rise building.
Targeting seniors earning less than 50% of area median income, Israel Manor is located in the Ward 5 neighborhood of Brentwood, Washington, DC, just South of Rhode Island Avenue, at its intersection of Washington Place, NE. As an outparcel of the Rhode Island Place Shopping Center, this new Senior Residence building fills the void of affordable rental senior housing in an energized new area in the vicinity of abundance of community services, shopping centers, medical services and adjacent to the Rhode Island/Brentwood metro. Construction completion, May, 2016.
